This plan references a technology called LTR trunking.  We suggest that any future handhelds and mobiles purchased should have this capability.  There is no significant increase in cost and the benefits to your long term planning can be significant.

Also, many dispatch centers are reporting problems with unauthorized transmissions from persons who should not be transmitting on primary dispatch channels or transmissions not relating to public safety activities.  The solution to this problem is a digital ID system called MDC1200 signaling.
